What’s Fresh-Week of December 26th 2017

We hope you had a wonderful holiday! This week, we have fresh pressed Honeycrisp apple cider from the Rockport area, and Purple and Orange Carrots, Russian Kale, Yacom, Yukon Gold Potatoes, Delicata Squash, Butternut Squash, Asian Pears, and a wide assortment of unique and beautiful winter squashes all from Skagit Valley Farmers. From Willowood Farm on Whidbey we have Mesclun salad greens, Beets in three colors, Brussel Sprouts, Red and Green Cabbage, Japanese Salad Turnips, Yellow Onions, and Golden Carrots. We also have bunches of Beets with their greens and apples from Mt. Erie Gardens here in Anacortes.
Don’t forget, we have our next class at the Coop coming up in just a few short weeks, and you don’t want to miss this one! We have a cooking class with Dapper Swan chutney, Valentine Cooking for your Sweetie. It’s going to be a lot of fun, so be sure to sign up for this free event! http://www.anacortesfoodcoop.com/events/
We at the Coop are doing our best to provide you with as many items as possible that you use regularly. We may even have some things that are not as easy to find in other stores. Now that the Farmer’s Market is over for the season, remember that the Coop has many of your favorite market items in our store year round, such as Holmquist Hazelnuts, 3 Generations jams, Dapper Swan chutney, and a variety of cheeses and produce from some of your favorite local farms. All it takes is for our members and non-members to spend 50 dollars a week at the Coop, and we will continue to grow and thrive. Come on in, we’d love to see you!
